STATEMENT BY Malcolm Bucknall

I am interested in themes of innocence and wonder, hope and vulnerability. Through precise renditions of ancestors, progeny and enchantments that never were, I ask the viewer to "Remember when?" and to join in "Let's pretend." I look to delineate states of being and states of mind common to us all. These are narratives, re-collections of goofy love, goosebumpy alarm, and magicked projections into other places and other bodies.
