is Assistant Professor and Curator in the Department of Art and Art History and The Gallery at UTA, University of Texas at Arlington. A graduate of both the University of Houston (BFA) and New Mexico State University (MA), Huerta was awarded the Mid-America Arts Alliance-NEA Regional Fellowship in 1990. He has had many one-person exhibitions, the most recent in San Antonio and Fort Worth, and his work is in numerous public and private collections. Huerta is also active as an essayist and curator.
