Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of prints
and drawings on paper by four artists: D Berman
veteran Jeffrey Dell, and three of Dell’s former
students from Texas State University - Adrienne
Butler, Yuko Fukuzumi, and Clifton Riley, each of
whom has a promising career in artmaking.
Adrienne Butler went from Texas State to Cranbrook
Academy in Michigan to achieve her MFA. Her interest
is in printmaking and installation work. Butler
will teach at Texas State in the fall.
Jeffrey Dell is a master printmaker whose current
focus is seriography, creating sensuous, complex
works with as many as 45 screen layers.
Yuko Fukuzumi creates origami-like silk screen prints
with a brilliant palette. She will participate in
the New Prints Program/Winter at the prestigious
International Print Center in New York this year.
Clifton Riley, now completing his MFA in printmaking
at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, makes
his mysterious monochromatic drawings with graphite,
ink and acrylic on paper.
With
the assistance of Jeffrey Dell, we have been fortunate
to assemble this group of emerging talents to exhibit
in Central Texas.
