The Perfect Machine
When the initial works for The Perfect Machine exhibition began to fit
together in a way that suggested an underlying narrative, the story line
for the children’s book began to emerge. Many of the works which
followed were conceived during the process of writing the story for “The
Perfect Machine,” as additional collages were needed to use as illustrations
for the story’s concepts. The exhibition and the children’s
book, now both entitled “The Perfect Machine,” thus came together
in an unusual way, in which thoughts on an exhibition catalog became the
beginnings of a children’s story, and the story in turn became the
outline for the exhibition, leading to the creation of additional art
works.
