Virginia Fleck's sculptures have a
living, organic quality. While some are anthropomorphic in
character, others give the impression that they grew out of the
earth. Integrating unusual materials such as cement, bird cages,
fabric, and sod into her work, Ms. Fleck composes extraordinary
creations. She has received several awards and residencies, and
has exhibited her work at the Austin Museum of Art at Laguna
Gloria and at the Dallas Visual Art Center, among other venues.
