Fiedorek's work consistently makes use of unique
materials and processes, often for site-specific
installations. Her current project is a series
of portraits. About her work in general Fiedorek
says, “I'm interested in allowing the
viewer interpretive options." Her large
mural can be seen above the baggage claim area
at the Austin Airport. She is currently working
on two large murals for the new Houston Intercontinental
Airport Baggage Claim Hall.
Naomi Schlinke paints images caught between
motion and stillness. In her new work she makes
use of saturated colors and abstracted botanical
forms suspended in space. Schlinke has exhibited
in galleries in Houston and San Francisco, at
the Dallas Visual Art Center and at the Contemporary
Art Center of Fort Worth; and she was included
in the Texas Fine Arts Association’s New
American Talent 2001.
